We collect as little as possible and tell you exactly what happens to it.

1. Who we are

AI The Lottery (aithelottery.ca) provides statistical analysis and educational content about Canadian lottery draws. We are not a lottery operator, retailer or gambling service.

2. Information we collect

Today the public site runs without user accounts, so we collect no personal information on the server.

  • Newsletter address: stored in your own browser's local storage because no email service is connected yet. It is not transmitted to us.
  • Contact form submissions: also stored in your browser only, and not transmitted to us until mail delivery is connected.
  • Theme preference: stored locally so your dark or light choice persists.
  • Standard server request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) generated by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

3. What we will collect when accounts launch

When membership accounts go live we will collect an email address, an encrypted password credential, and any analyses or number sets you choose to save. Payment card details will be handled entirely by the payment processor; we will never receive or store card numbers. This policy will be updated before that change takes effect.

4. How we use information

To operate and secure the site, to deliver the features you request, and — if you opt in — to send draw-day statistics summaries. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. Cookies and analytics

The site currently uses browser local storage for preferences rather than tracking cookies. If analytics or advertising tooling is added, the Cookie Policy will be updated first and consent will be requested where required.

6. Retention

Locally stored data lives in your browser until you clear it. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited operational period. Account data, once accounts exist, will be deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.

7. Your rights

Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial law you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and may withdraw consent for optional processing at any time. Contact hello@aithelottery.ca to exercise these rights.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults of legal lottery-purchase age in their province. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
