Lotto Max Statistics: Most Common Numbers and What They Mean

2026-10-14 · 6 min read

How to read Lotto Max statistics — most common numbers, least drawn numbers, overdue numbers, odd/even splits — and why none of them predicts the next draw.

Our Lotto Max statistics are calculated from every official draw imported since 2021 and update automatically after each Tuesday and Friday draw. The live tables are at /lotto-max/hot-cold-numbers; this guide explains how to read them.

Most common (hot) numbers

With seven numbers drawn from 52, each number is expected to appear in about 13.5% of draws. Over a few hundred draws, some numbers will naturally land well above that and some well below. That spread is normal random variation, not a pattern.

Least drawn (cold) and overdue numbers

A number that has not appeared for 20 draws is not 'due'. Every draw is independent, so its chance next draw is still 7 in 52 — exactly the same as a number drawn last week.

Useful ways to use the statistics

  • Checking that the results look like a fair random process
  • Choosing less common combination shapes to reduce the chance of sharing a jackpot
  • Simply enjoying the data — the honest reason most people look
